Yerke

Hi.

My full name is Yerkebulan Yeshmukhanbetov. But, you can simply call me "Yerke" /ierke/.  I am from Kazakhstan, the country which is located at the center of Eurasia and has common border with Russia and China. I was born in Atyrau, the city at the west of Kazakhstan and have lived here all my life.

I am the eldest of two boys.

After graduation from high school, I applied to Bolashak Scholarship, which gave me an opportunity to study in the USA. First, I was sent to pass a language course at Columbia University, New York.  A year later I was admitted to Purdue University.

That's my concise biography... so far. :)

The next thing I want to share with you is my hobby. One of my few hobbies is soccer!) . My all classmates were passionate about this sport. So was I. I watch, play and play it on the computer. I wish this sport were as popular in the USA as in Europe. By the way, my favorite team is Chelsea:)

Also I enjoy listening to music, especially Eminem and One Republic, playing the guitar and ice skating. (Jayne)
