The dead week.

The dead week is finally here. I'm glad to have this week because I need to study for my finals. We never had such long time in India to study for the finals. I planned to study this weekend too, but ended up doing nothing. On Saturday I had the Purdue Di Shaan's (Bhangra group) try outs and after I was done with then I had a severe body pain. :p Anyways I do not have much to write about this time. To this end I just want to mention that I enjoyed doing blogging all this semester ans I'll be missing this english class a lot. I still remember when I first came to this class, the first thing that I mentioned to Prof. Veronica was "I am really bad at writing and so I hate it too". Now at the end of the semester I have a completely different thinking. I wold like to mention that Prof. Veronica, you completely changed my style of writing and now I have no more writing fears. I'm glad. :)

  1. I hope you get selected in Purdue Di Shaan's team, they're doing pretty good lately! It'll be fun, since its Bhangra and you love it haha :) And I remember when you mentioned your fears to Veronica.. I carried that same image till I read your blog posts and maybe one of your assignments that you showed me. You're a fine writer, and Veronica just helped you become even better at that! I'm so glad that we've got a great teacher..I was really bad at the literature review thing and she made sure that I improve on that! Anyways we're better off here, but good luck with the finals and the next semester :) (Jayne)

  2. Dharna, I too am glad that dead week is finally here. Not only does this mean that we are two weeks away from December break, but it also provides us with extra time to go through all those chapters that are going to make their way into those devious exams! Sometimes I feel like excessive planning never works out for me. Often I end up working best when I have unplanned study sessions. I feel like all the planning backing my studies makes me feel like all this studying is forced and not done by my own will. Hence, I have decided to study only when I feel like doing so. You might ask, “When does anyone feel like studying, after all?” Well, with me, it works in a very simple manner. For subjects that I do enjoy, I am actually eager to immerse myself into it and gain a better understanding of the intricacies of said subject. However, when I don’t like one of the subjects that I am taking, then I remind myself of how hard I worked all through high school in order to make it into college and I tell myself that I wont allow one bad subject to ruin my academic record in college. This seems to keep me going without stressing me out too a great extent ☺
