Reflections on English Channel Tunnel

The English Channel tunnel is a great example of global engineering and it also becoming a great economic value for both England and France. The collaboration of the two countries that have had quite the history is a great example of putting the past behind to help out each other. Its funny because the two have such a different way of thinking, but the tunnel was still made. The English found solutions to constant problems that came up while the French always liked to have a plan. These two ways of thinking were put together and actually had a benefit. A group of engineers who expect problems and can solve them and always having a detailed plan seems like a good combination.

Global engineering is going to be the key of success for the future. Different groups of engineers from around the world collaborating to make the world a better place is what all future engineers will have to do.

  1. Indeed it is a good idea to think of it as that way. Even though the engineers from different cultures would have had problems, but they figured out in the end. This is a great idea for global engineering, as it makes a deep economic impact. (engr103)
