This documentary reminded me series of “Megabuilder” TV Show on Discovery Channel. While watching films like this I realize how the engineers’ work is essential at present times. At same time, I also learn how it could be riveting building such a long tunnel. Their work is inspiring that I want to become an engineer immediately. But first of all, I should study hard and get a degree. I am pretty sure, Purdue University is the place where I can get the knowledge to accomplish my goals.
I remember I heard of this tunnel before. However, I could hardly believe that there was such a tunnel. I asked myself “How can people build 50 mile long tunnel under the ocean?” It seemed fantastic to me. But now I know that the Channel Tunnel is real and it was built about twenty years ago. During these years, technology and engineering have developed and reached higher degree, that enables us to build more sophisticated projects.

ReplyDeleteHey! I loved watching Megabuilders too. This and Man vs Wild were my top choices. It was so amazing. Even I'm amazed of the fact that the tunnel was 50 miles long and was built in three years. Hats off to the engineers building it. I'm so fascinated by this channel that I now feel like travelling through it once.(engr103)
