I'm in short of topics to blog on now! Seems like my life's inching towards boredom. There's nothing interesting coming up. I have to follow the same schedule everyday, that is wake up, eat, study, sleep. It's pretty normal for me to sleep at 4am and then again wake up at 7 am. I am sleep deprived now. I cannot even sleep this weekend because of my i2i exam on Monday.
I hate it when the weekends approach. You might think I'm being stupid by saying this because people usually yearn for weekends, whereas I'm acting just the opposite. Basically, on weekends I usually have nothing to do except sitting idle. Of course I have loads of pending works along with home works, but then I don't feel like studying. Weekends are meant to be enjoyed, but instead all my nerd friends are found sitting in the study lounge with their close to heart books, especially 131, which I hate the most. :/
Hope everything gets better very soon. I am eagerly waiting for the October break :D

I'm in the same situation as you are. I do not know what to post, I have a ton of homework, I feel lazy and I have a lot of sleep debt.
ReplyDeleteI miss the weekends in which you could relax and have the luxury of not thinking about homework and exams due for the next week.
I can't wait for October break and our 5 day Thanksgiving break.

ReplyDeleteI mostly agree with your blog post, Dharna. People mostly think that college is all about “partying” and “living it up”, but it is much, much more. To begin with, the workload is awful. Moreover, most of us here at Purdue live alone and hence don’t have the luxury of our family’s support. Going further, college demands us to mingle and interact with people from all walks of life. Hence, we are required to adapt and understand the cultures represented by the student body of a certain college. Now I will go back to what you started your blog post with, Boredom. My solution to that particular issue is friends. Friends in college, I feel, substitute for my family and friends back home. They ensure that I don’t catch that nasty cold and that I have all my meals. I can also count on them with all my secrets and worries. Those “nerd friends” of yours, I am sure, count as your family away from home. So spend time with them, be it for studying or just having fun. And if you run out of things to do, you will ALWAYS have some pending ENGR 131 work.
ReplyDeleteP.S- I strongly agree that ENGR 131 is one of the most pointless classes I have ever taken through life as a student.
