Changing Majors
I've been thinking a lot about changing majors, but I'm worried that I'm only saying this because of the courses that are required to get into my desired school of engineering. I plan to go aeronautical and become a pilot in the future, but I don't know if engineering is the right way or engineering technology. I've looked over the plan of study for AAE students and it sounds very interesting, especially the courses you can choose to focus on like low flight gravity experience or propulsion. I looked over the Aeronautical Engineering Technology plan of study and it also seemed interesting because starting second semester we actually start learning about flight. I do not know what to do and what makes it worse is that we have to choose classes for next semester next Monday! Hopefully I make the right decision and I get the time to talk to some advisers about my plans for the future.

Aeronautical Engineering is really cool. I don't know which one would be better, but they both are probably excellent. Definitely, go talk to an advisor. I just walked into talk to someone. I signed in and within like five minutes an advisor came out to talk to me. It was great. It sounds like your situation may lean toward the technology, since you want to fly, but I don't know. I can't believe we pick classes Monday. It is crazy. I have to choose an elective and I have been asking tons of people what the best one to take would be and everyone gives me a different answer. No one is very straight forward in helping, which makes it hard. When I asked my advisor what he recommended would be a good class to take, he said what do you feel like taking. That makes things difficult. Good luck though! You will choose the right one.
ReplyDeleteI was in your situation a weeks ago. I was still wondering if I should go into computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
ReplyDeleteAfter a few weeks of weighing the pros and cons, I decided to choose Mechanical because I realised d that I would hate staring at screens everyday. I would prefer spending my days on thing more hands on, things that go fast like cars, etc.
I hope you manage to find the right major
