Five Machines That Changed the World

Structures are primarily what things are built out of. Structural engineers work with how structures will react to certain conditions. An example is how earthquake proof a building is. This article has many things about structures in it. The continuous advancements of engines in the medieval times of Europe and China are prime examples of structures being innovated.

Castles were being built stronger so it can defend, and with the result of that was other military building bigger and stronger siege engines to destroy the huge castle walls. This became to be known as an arms race, which is a great example of how structures were being innovated to withstand forces. This race has even continued to this day. Whoever has more power seems like the strongest.

  1. I really like how you compared the evolution of structures regarding castles vs machines as "an arms race". I didn't approach my blog post the same way. I talked more about how, if someone asked my opinion about he evolution of structures, that I would approach it from a more artistic approach. I definitely like how you approached it from a more defensive viewpoint.
