As I was aimlessly surfing the web, I randomly typed on Google "the worst presentation of all time". I then randomly picked a link that read “The worst presentation gaffe you’ve ever seen”. This link led to what seemed to be a LinkedIN Question/Answer page. I scrolled down to the first answer and read.
The answerer had two to stories to share. The First one wasn’t very striking. However the second one was the best one I have read so far. Basically, the author recounts the presentation of her “humorous” friend. Here’s the story, the friend is doing her presentation for the first time with a microphone. The first two hours go by. And then she has to go to the bathroom. Once back in the lecture room, her crowd looks at her “strangely’. The responder continues by someone comes and tells her that she should turn off her microphone before heading to the toilet. The author then cites all the options the presenter had which included get out of the room, or continue the presentation as though nothing happened.
The presenter decided to stay and said: “Now that I'm relieved .... We can move on”. And the whole crowd was reported by the author to have laughed their backsides off.
What an excellent comeback.

HAHA, the presenter presented everything I learnt about PWRpoint presentation in COM 114 class but in a very entertaining way.
ReplyDeleteI actually Laughed out loud for that one. One of the great things about the internet is all the comedic things that people can find. Personally I spend way too much time surfing the web to find funny things, especially when I have homework. It is a huge problem, I know, but what else can you when you just want to do anything but your homework.
ReplyDeleteMy two favorite sites to frequent are Imgur.com and quickmeme.com. Imgur is a hilarious site where people upload pictures. Although they can be serious, most are often meant for comedic purpose, and they often are.
Quickmeme, the other site, is a site where there are a stock photos that have been uploaded, and people add their own quotes to them. Philosoraptor, Success Kid, Socially Awkward Penguin, and Push it Somewhere Else Patrick all come from this site.
If you are looking for other entertaining websites that you will inevitable spend too much time on, I suggest these. (ENGL 106)
Things always get in the way when you do homework on the computer, but honestly, I think its actually good to have a little break and fun between assignments because you know how boring and time consuming they are. I like stumble upon or I like to search random words on urban dictionary. Never bad to have fun when doing something. (jayne)
